Here they are - four real moms from the Greater Washington, D.C., and Baltimore areas, selected to represent you by asking tough questions to get honest answers. They will help keep you informed as they continue to examine McDonald's from the inside out.

While each mom wants to know more about food quality and nutrition, these women come to the program with unique motivations and points of view.

About Me
I am a married, working mom of three adventurous boys. We are a diverse family with a lot going on. We all have different needs and interests. We feel that our children enjoy as many things together as they do individually. Volunteering is an important part of my family's values and philosophy. I believe these philanthropic values are important seeds to plant in our children. I am mostly motivated by activities that address the basic needs of children. I am also an advocate for adoptees and adoption issues.

My interests are volunteering, adoption issues, organizing the house, collecting and framing my insect collection. I also enjoy swinging and talking on the front porch with my husband, playing with my kids in the garden, watching them interact, throwing rocks in the creek, cooking, shopping, reading, writing or journaling my thoughts, and talking on the phone to my friends and family. We also enjoy our pets. We have three dogs, one cat and saltwater reef aquarium...plus some bugs in containers that come and go!

Being a mom and wife is the most meaningful and rewarding thing I've ever done. But, I often feel the pull between my own personal goals and helping my children reach their own. It's certainly a balance. The best thing about being a mom is leading them to be whomever they choose to be and trying not to be overly protective when it's time to let go. More than anything loving them all unconditionally for the unique people that they are and continue to evolve into.

My Children
Three boys, ages 3, 8 and 15.

Favorite Quality Time as a Family
I love to just putter around with my kids outside. We live in a rural community. Our garden, our creek and our backyard is the most important element. Spending time together outside is one of our favorite "Quality" things to do. We enjoy our local Children's Museum, but truly enjoy the moments that we create by just being at home. In the spring, we like to be outside planting seeds and flowers while the kids are running around, playing, playing, riding bikes, fishing, hiking, jumping on the trampoline, finding insects, building, laughing, screaming and just being.

We encourage our kids to be kids - we don't mind messy faces, paint splattered clothes, or muddy shoes (outside, not in!). In the summer we enjoy going down to the creek, a local pool or playing in a small pool in our yard. Old fashioned kind of fun!

Favorite Food
I love Middle Eastern or Mediterranean food the best. My weakness is for different types of breads...sour dough bread, pita bread, Ethiopian injera bread, Portuguese sweet bread, Jewish Challah bread...I love it all!

Family's Favorite Meal
It's difficult for us to all agree! Plus it often changes. For now, I would say that everyone is pleased when I get fresh steamed and spiced shrimp.
